Details Emerging From Death Of Former Clemson RB C.J. Fuller

Multiple sources have confirmed to The Clemson Insider that former Clemson running back C.J. Fuller has passed away on Wednesday. He was 22 years old.
Sources have confirmed to TCI that Fuller passed away due to complications from a seizure.
Fuller played a big role in Clemson’s national championship team in 2016, catching touchdown passes against Ohio State in the Fiesta Bowl and against rival South Carolina in the regular-season finale that year.​

Fuller totaled 217 yards and 3 touchdowns during the 2017 season. He played in 44 games for the Tigers over the course of his career.


Details are emerging from the tragic death of former Clemson running back C.J. Fuller, who was found dead today at the age of 22. Fuller, who won a national title with the Tigers, left the program in 2017.
Fuller’s high school, Easley High School, announced the unfortunate news this evening. Fuller most-recently played for Clemson in 2017 and began that season as the Tigers’ starting running back. He started two games before getting passed on the depth chart.
The Clemson Insider has provided more details on the death of Fuller.

One of Fuller’s former Clemson teammates, Shaq Lawson, posted on Instagram this evening that he was supposed to be seeing the running back on Thursday.
“My brother I am hurting right now. Somebody wake me up from this nightmare. My brother was supposed to come see me tomorrow. I love you bruh until we meet again,” he writes.


Former star South Carolina running back Marcus Lattimore posted the following message for Fuller’s family:
“We are mortal. I am devastated. Praying hard right now for CJ Fuller’s family. Great human.”
