I have been waiting for quite some time for Wilder to fight a quality opponent and we get tomorrow night. Luis Ortiz is a seasoned Cuban fighter undefeated in 28 fights and nicknamed "King Kong". It will be televised on Showtime.

And Deadspin is accusing him of fixing fights? Check Twitter...

With Wilder dominating his end of the title it's important that he wins this fight. Anthony Joshua said he is willing to fight Wilder, great, that is the best thing that could happen to the heavyweight division.

I watched Joshua's fight against the Russian champ a few months ago. Hits hard but not sure he was going to get through it. It's time these two clean up the heavyweight division.

Been awhile since there has been more than one solid American heavyweight at a same time, so this is definitely good for the sport.

Wish these fights were on cable.
It was on showtime, not PPV.

Subscription, of course, but you could always add the premium movie package for a week for his next fight then drop it... Lol.. His last fight was on Fox sports, I think. Of course, this all depends on who's airing his next fight. If he ends up fighting the winner of Joshua/Parker in the UK, it'll probably be on Sky which may be a PPV stream over here.

Deontay Wilder gives off a lot of the same vibes I use to feel when Arturo Gatti got in the ring. I don't think he has any boxing skill to speak of but he is a power plant with either hand and at 6'7" he has some serious reach and leverage that can turn the lights out at any moment. What I saw last night though was a lot of heart. He has been criticized for his competition, and folks have wondered if he could take it. Wilder had to will himself passed the 7 round and took some hellacious shots in that round. To come back, gather himself and look so good in the 9th and 10th round says a lot about his heart. Gonna be a great fight if Joshua and Wilder get together this year.

PS, Don't ever come into the ring at 214 lbs. again. Wilder said he was sick and lost some weight but that didn't sound right. He has enough quickness against the big boys, he needs the bulk to take the shots and dish the punishment.

I'm gonna be super pissed if Joshua demands the UK. Make that clown come to Bama. Not to mention I want to get credentialed for it lol If it comes on Sky then HBO or Showtime will probably air it over here, at least instead of PPV.
