🏈 defensive stats

so I read this on another bama site (BSR) and had to go look this up because i didn't really believe it.

Alabama is...
#1 in the nation with 15 passes intercepted.
#4 in the nation on pass efficiency defense.

The point of the post was how the secondary was the big question mark this year, when in fact our ability to pressure the QB has reared its ugly head most of the year and we are clearly doing ok in the secondary.

Anyways, thought some of you might find this interesting.

Our pass rush should be better after the bye. Dareus and Upshaw will be close to 100% after week off. Donta is finally starting to lose some of his tentativeness (not uncommon for a guy suffering a sever knee injury) and is playing faster. Menzie will be healthier than he's been all year. The young LB's have shown steady improvement over the last two games. Now combine that with the fact that our youngsters on D will have gained valuable experience, just had a fundamentals tune up, and will be fresh. Our D should be ready to make a statement in November. Everyone expects our offense to regain its legs and return to early season form. The other day one of those media experts made this statement in passing. "Saban is quietly fine tuning his team for the stretch and I would not be shocked to see them holding the crystal in the end."
