📝 December Recruiting- 15 in, three committed, with roughly 8 spots left

We're quickly approaching the first signing period and our 72-hour window. There's no doubt that every player that has verbally committed to Alabama is going to be expected to sign early. Unless maybe they are still waiting on grades. I just hope that a lot of what we are seeing with the Tide is because we have a lot of primadonnas in this class that are still looking for the drama and attention the second signing period brings. The way we tend to cherry pick the best of the best, that's always a strong possibility.

Good luck. Kirby is killing it in GA. He is very likable and east to talk to. Nick is all business. Right now the kids see a loose, funny, and winning coach that they can have fun with. The kids that see the bigger picture and like football being a business are loving Nick. That is why Kirby always did well when he was working over here in GA. Also what kid would not want to play big time football for his state and where all his family and HS friends can come watch him. It is a prefect storm and I don't like it.

Kirby is the little general. You might want to poll the Dawg players for the truth about how funny, loose this guy is. Pruitt is the player-friendly one of the two, the approachable coach. And you are correct, Kirby is enjoying the perfect storm right now, but that's not what's going on with Alabama recruiting.

Care to elaborate on what you suspect/know?

True as a coach (on the field or in the locker room) the players have a different view. While watching him recruit he comes across as loose, funny, approachable, or whatever you want to call him.

I've said it before so no big mystery. I think the first signing period is going to expose a number of 4 and 5-star players that Bama will harvest during cherry picking season. With the latest DB sweep, we have moved to #9 with only 14 recruits and we are frankly a couple of 5* and a few more 4 from being at the 8 recruit limit. When you crunch the numbers of recruits we are on, it's not much of a reach at this point.

That doesn't have much to do with Kirby and that's my point. At this point, I can't imagine 24/7, #4 Georgia catching #1 Ohio State unless they unexpectedly lose a lot more commits. Frankly, Texas is the darkhorse here at #2 nationally with only 19 recruits and coming on like the Mack Brown era and Miami is showing at #3 with 21 recruits that Richt can recruit and could recruit. Kirby's not reinventing the wheel over there.
