Yep! One of my former students who just graduated UA and now temps for this site wrote this article today. I told him two things: 1. I didn't know (or really care) that the Rock played at da u in the early '90s, so I had the pleasure of watching him have his ass handed to him by Bama in the NC and 2. his article title is rather...apropos since what the Rock just bought is a huge pile of .

I read the article earlier in the day. Later on while watching PTI and then the local news, the storyline ran the same. The focus is just on the Rock.

It makes me ask why. I know, the XFL and what "it is."

It certainly would be a good follow up.

This is right up the Rock's ally. He comes from that showmanship program and seems like it is just and extension of that mentality for him.

Jim McMahon invested alot of money in the XFL. This team is picking it up super cheap.

Worthy gamble in my opinion.

Must be nice to have 15 million to invest in something. IMO, I think it will go by the wayside just like all the other leagues.

$15m / 3 would be my guess - Dany, Gerry, and Dwayne. Much easier to stomach.

It's a fair question to ask when you see someone involved with their ex (wife/husband) in a business relationship.

Done right, the XFL is a bargain at $15 million. It has a chance to make it as a spring league, just this second attempt got destroyed by COVID.

IMO, the Rock got a good deal based on what's been invested in the XFL to get it to this point. However, it's going to cost a lot more to make it viable. The Rock will be able to get tax credit on the loses expected in the next few years. Will it ever be profitable? Who knows.
