@TUSKstuff@musso is an interesting fella. Everyone's cut from their own cloth, ya know? For years he had a V for Vendetta avatar and I think very few actually put two and two together.
You assumed??? I told you exactly why I selected that clip. Again, another failure to read. Praising Joel Klatt??? I said I support this particular proposal of his. That's all.
I like to wow you??? Again, another red herring. I'm just trying to generate discussion about something that was in the news.
What's childish is calling me "a disappointment" and then faulting a response. What's also childish is refusing to even consider the merits of Klatt's proposal because of whatever he has said in the past. (Yes, I'm aware of his prediction after the 2015 Ole Miss loss that Saban's dynasty was done, but to his credit he came clean and admitted his mistake. But all of this is irrelevant to the clip I shared. It's a useful example of one possible reform that accomplishes my goal: to diminish the role of the committee. I just wanted to know what you all think.)
Bama is a passion over here and you know it. Telling us that you have the same butthurt problems with the committee that a Joe Klatt has said volumes about your motive and genuine interest in the Crimson Tide being in the playoffs to begin with. I'll keep it in mind in future discussions.
Wow, TideFans.com all over again ... questioning the fan loyalty of divergent members. Now that's also childish. Actually, no it's not. It's adultish. Children are more open-minded and willing to ponder new possibilities. Adults grow rigid, fearful of change, and suspicious of new ideas and the people who suggest them.

Wow, good memory you have there. Scary good.
What say you, Terry, on this issue of reducing the power of the playoff committee? @TUSKstuff is trying to question my faith in the Tide, but ironically it is me who believes we don't need the favors of a committee to succeed. And I think true fan pride comes from watching your team earn its laurels by meeting objective criteria, not by passing subjective "eye tests" of people behind closed doors.
Before a playoff ... didn't everyone get "a trophy"??? Saban, for example, criticizes the playoff because it diminishes the success of going to other bowls. Now the culture is "playoff or bust." In other words, people only value "one trophy" now. Seems to contradict what you're saying. Did I misunderstand you?
You haven't answered my question though. Forget that you were never supportive of a playoff back then. Moving forward, do you support replacing the discretion of the playoff committe with a rules-based approach to playoff eligibility that applies uniformly to all teams?

The only thing I support this morning is the notion of going and getting Yuengling out of the fridge and getting back to working on a few things on the back end.
That's a convoluted question. I can't get into that kind of thing right now.
