For that, there needs to be a rule. If there are more bowl games than teams with winning records, then that bowl game isn't played that year. And the list of bowl games not to be played needs to start with the newest one out first, then second newest, and so on and so forth.
Having a losing record shouldn't be rewarded with a bowl game.
I am so old I remember when there were only nine bowls. You pretty much had to finish in the top twenty (the polls had not expanded to include 25 at that point) to get a bowl bid. It was truly a reward back then. Notre Dame had a policy back then to not go to bowls at all. They had to change that policy when the polls started waiting until after the bowls to make their final votes. I wonder how long they will hold out this time until they realize they are not special enough to not join a conference like all the other schools do.
What's troubling me is! The fact that coaches keep changing is proving to be a major problem for me. We know which team has them done. Is it not possible to delay this until the end of the season for all the teams?
