Officials: Brother of Clemson coach accused of distributing child porn

CLEMSON, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office announced Thursday that the brother of the Clemson Tigers head football coach was one of three Upstate men arrested in recent child sexual exploitation investigations.

Henry Ervil Swinney III of Clemson was arrested on Apr. 23 after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children prompted an investigation. The South Carolina Attorney General’s Office said Swinney distributed child sexual abuse material.

According to an arrest warrant, Swinney distributed the material through a “Mega” file sharing link.

He's known as Tripp; at least that's what people called him when he was living in Tuscaloosa.

I don't believe anyone who knew/knows him expected this news. And, I'd never say "the brothers are alike." I will say that he carried himself in that "goodie two shoes" role we see Dabo faking.

Many violent criminals were abused by a pedo when they were young. Pedos don't make it in prison very long. They are killed or end up being somebody's girlfriend.

I grew up down the street from the Swinney's and knew them quite well. Dabe and Tracy were normal kids and pretty good guys. My older brother was good friends with Tracy and I knew Dabo a little better. Plus Dabo went out with my next door neighbor some so I guess I saw him a little more.
Tripp was a fun loving kid when he was younger but got into a little more trouble that the other two.

I believe it was about 15-20 years ago Tripp got into a major car accident and had some extensive head injuries, which as he recovered he became kind of hooked on some his meds and you would see him barely able to walk at some of the local bars here like 10-15 years ago. Was still a nice guy but definatley not all there.

I hate to here this happened. As a father it sickens me but just knowing the back story some.. I know he wasn't a bad egg he had some serious contributing factors. Now I am not saying he wasn't a nut before the accident but it was a fun loving partying kind of way back then. He never was the same after that crash.

Compared to when he was in Tuscaloosa that's like saying Ernest T. Bass liked to skip rocks off the water.

During his time there? That elevator didn't quite reach the top floor. He wasn't someone you'd consider a sane, level-headed guy. Maybe a lot of that was due to living with Lamond Russell? The idea of living with a Bama football player affected his attitudes towards people? Maybe, but that's seems like more of an excuse.

Short tempered is a very gentle way of describing who he was at that age.
