🏈 Dabo Swinney is running his mouth

He acts so immature sometimes for somebody in his position. I didn't hear it but a friend told me Dabo said something similar to "this NC is not just for Clemson, it's for Ohio State and everybody else that does it the right way..."

Is that bastard implying Bama doesn't do it the right way?

Sounds like Fakebook news. Just because it's on the Internet doesn't mean it's true.

Y'all shouldn't get too upset with Dabo, he's likely going to take over when Saban decides to retire.

That's the one piece that doesn't fit the puzzle that is Alabama football. Only a select few can handle the position and I'm not sure he's cut from the right cloth. Coaching and recruiting? There's little doubt he can handle that aspect. Who is he when he's in the spotlight?

It's a case of someone hearing his interview and only hearing what they wanted to hear. Then, they took it to the ol' social network world ... and now it's being described as Wayne was told.

Simply wrong. (damn commercials with ESPN video!)

That's my issue with him, too. I know we're spoiled rotten because of CNS, but I really appreciate how he lets his teams' playing do all his talk instead of loudly running his mouth. There was a big game Clemson won a couple of years ago. After the game, he was being interviewed at midfield and he took the mike and started sounding like one of the loudmouths on the Finebaum show.

I can't stand Yabo Dabo. Sure, he may have played at Alabama, but that doesn't mean I have to like everyone that has ever walked our campus. His dumb little quips and stats he throws around to act like Clemson is the greatest school to ever hold classes gets under my skin. I think I have voiced my feelings on him well before the game the other night and even befire last year's game, so it's not a knee jerk reaction. To me, he acts like a guy that is on a hot streak picking stocks that thinks he can't get it wrong, so he's much more arrogant than he ever used to be. Nothing worse than someone not being theirselves in the midst of success. Glad he got it this year, because I think even he knows without Watson things are going to be a lot different and tougher for him. No one has the best player in college football every year.

Watson is one of those players we only see every few years so I do understand the question "what's he going to do when Watson is gone?"

Here's my issue with that thought process.

When Chad Morris left people said the same thing while doubting they would continue to have success on offense.

When Tajh Boyd left ... when Sammie Watkins left ... same mantra.

History, as it tends to repeat itself, shows he's reloading like a lot of other programs in both staff changes and players. He's currently got the top ranked QB committed to Clemson.

I don't see an immediate drop-off like we've seen with other players (IE: Cam, Manziel, etc.)

Without Watson, Clemson would have lost 3 or 4 games this year easily no matter how well Dabo has recruited. Watson was a special player and luckily we don't have to face him ever again.

I'm back!! Couldn't stay away. I don't see it as Dabo is running his mouth. I see it as Dabo being on top of the world immediately following knocking off the giant. Coach Stallings always said that it wasn't bragging if you can back it up. Dabo did Monday night. I also see it as recruiting like others have said as well. Dabo still loves this University and he has great respect for Coach Saban as well. When he said, "do it the right way!" it wasn't intended as a shot at UA I believe. I think he was saying that, "the playoff gives everyone a shot IF you are all willing to put in all of the extra sweat, pain, blood, etc."
