First off I'll come right out and say D Henry is one of my sources.

Second he has a work ethic and leadership we have been missing for some time. The team respond well to him and his leadership by example is outstanding.

I invite you to watch this video which includes interview and hype speeches. He is a special player and will kill himself for this team.

Derrick Henry - Pump Up -:

There was a highlight from the 2nd half against OSU... must be shopped.

Also, is the girl saying "dinero" in the background? Not sure I like that subliminal message.

I'm glad they're hungry and I'm glad he's stepping up as a leader. But I want to see it on the field. We hear these things each year, they need to prove it. He's going to be a stud this year and I'd be surprised if he isn't in NYC by years end.

Yeah no kidding about the 2nd half lol. The worst part is, what you saw is what he was doing to them everytime he touched the ball they could not stop him for any reason. That is hard to stomach. He took that personal btw.

His attitude fits the mold of Ingram, Trent, Julio, Coop, Hightower, Collins, HaHa, and the other greats who were completely focused and dedicated to winning a championship.

Getting harder and harder to find top recruits who aren't coddled or entitled. Would love to see Henry's attitude rub off and get rewarded.

Such a juxtaposition of emotions watching this video. SO very excited about the upcoming season; sounds like some leadership has really stepped up, and we're about to see some nasty SOB's that can bring home the hardware. At the same time, I cannot help looking back. Ohio State COULD NOT STOP HIM. Makes me want to punch a wall.

Deep breath. move on...

They couldn't and I hate kiffin/saban for it.

You may not know, but did Henry ever have a convo with Kiffin/Saban about that? Something like "Coach, why did you stop the rape train? We would have #16 if you didn't derail it."

His frustration was well known to kiffin and Saban. Derrick handled it like a man imo and instead of pitching a fit they came to him and expressed they failed him. I think the entire thing was handled perfectly. I believe that because the attitude Derrick gained from that led to what he is now. He was a beast when he arrived and his work ethic is just ridiculous. He flips tires at 4 am, runs at 5, lifts at 6, watches film all day, buried in the playbook and spends alot of time with the young guys. He lives the process, if you recall 09 and 11 they main leaders did just that they lived it.

Not to mention Drake, his story is one that has inspired him as well. Drake has worked his ass off to be come back. You may have noticed at Aday but he wants to ball. His leadership style compliments Henry. Hell drake ran 4.38 before he ran a 4.4 in spring and some say he is a step faster than he was. If this all comes together we will be an absolute force. This year is really exciting.

I'm interested to see if he can find a way to get through the hole and run through arm tackles and ankle tackles. TJ Yeldon was one of the best I've ever seen with body control and cutting ability. Henry is hell on wheels once he gets up to speed, but it's the between the tackle running when it gets clogged up that I'm looking to see if he improves on.
