🏈 Could Tua Tagovailoa pass for more TD this weekend? Breaking the record?

6 Alabama players have been responsible for five TDs in one game, including QB Tua Tagovailoa, who threw four TD passes and ran for a score in the Crimson Tide's 45-23 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday to tie the school record. Tagovailoa had TD passes of 30, 23, 6 and 57 yards and a 1-yard TD run against the Aggies. The first Alabama player to account for five TDs in a game was QB Gary Hollingsworth, who threw five TD passes in a 62-27 victory over Ole Miss in 1989. RB Shaun Alexander ran for five TDs in a 38-31 victory over BYU in 1998, and RB Santonio Beard duplicated that feat in a 42-7 victory over Ole Miss in 2002. QB Blake Sims threw four TD passes and ran for a TD in a 55-44 victory over Auburn in 2014, and Jalen Hurts did that in a 51-3 victory over Mississippi State in 20016.

It will take a lot for Saban to beat Napier like a rented mule. He just doesnt seem to want to run it up on most former staff and I would think that they would want to get back to working on the run to ensure there is a good mix of runs vs pass attempts (come on down Trey Sanders). I hope that Tua gets enough passing opps to keep his flow and offensive excitement for recruits. (I would love to see Mac get some quality reps with the ones and have some opps to toss some without a lot of pressure in his face. He is still a bit excited and putting too much on the balls, and it seems it could be the pressure may be the main reason) Will not start a discussion of Jalen at this point; one thing is certain, he puts a foot on the field this week and all the "red shirt" shitte is over and we all know what. He may still transfer end of the season, but will / wont be available the rest of the season based on his entry to this game.

Interesting that QB Kelly Bryant of Clemson has missed both practices since being told Monday that Lawrence has beaten him out as the starter. This is a senior who stuck it out behind Watson and he too is supposedly well liked by all his teammates. Dabo, no doubt made the call after 4 games to be fair to Bryant. But having lost a 5* QB already this season there isn't a lot of depth at the position. This QB call that Dabo made had better be the right one going forward for a lot of reasons.

Bryant saved Dabo's ass at Kyle Field. In my opinion Dabo has not handled this correctly and has given into pressure from boosters, the media, and the fanbase.

Kirby has handled his situation much like Saban and thus has had two productive quarterbacks like us.

I hate to state my opinion based on paper but I think, Tua will not see any action after the half.

It only happens if we get on a roll in the first half. I just don't see Tua playing beyond that.
