🏈 Continuing the Andre thread (due to length, etc. of the 1st)

Terry are you saying UA might let Andre play? Or would that be too much of a risk?

You are the second person that has asked me that today. I didn't mean to imply that he may play in the Sugar. Sorry if that is the way it was taken.

All I'm saying, is under some weird, WEIRD, decision he decides to come back all signs point to his eligibility being something he can regain through the program.

Right now, he's suspended for this game. This game only.

i believe Coach Saban said that today. that Andre would be allowed to play next year if he came back, i think it scrolled at the bottom of the screen during the Georgia game.

Yeah I see what you mean now Terry, Saban didn't rule out him coming back. You never know though, it would be a extremely strange situation if he decided to come back. Maybe even not the best or smart decision but it would be something to behold.

imo it will all come down to how bad he feels about this. if missing his first and only chance to go to a BCS Bowl and letting his team down to an extent by not being there hurts him bad enough it could make him want to come back. only way he'd drop out of the top 5 is if he had a freak injury or had a horrible year next year and allowed 20 sacks (aint happening).

I'm hoping Antoine and the guys have been burning his cell phone up trying to talk him out of leaving.

This extra year has probly beena huge help for him by stayingfor his Sr. year. He'll go much high in the draft. was probly the best choice he could have made and i'm sure he'd tell you that himself.
Maybe he can talk some sense into Smitty. What's not to say we won't got to the NCG next year and win?

It would possibly be better for him to stay.
But given that the rookie cap is gone for this year.... i doubt he will.

I don't want to rain on the hopes of some here, but its rediculous to think that Andre will come back. For he and his family, he NEEDS to go on to the NFL.

Let me ask you this...What sort of risk would he be taking by coming back and having someone roll over on one of his knees or ankles? What if there are 3-4 other OT's that come out NEXT year and he doesn't command as high of a salary? What if the overall economy doesn't improve, gets worse even, and the money simple isn't as available?

Smitty needs to go pro. I wish him the best!
