TV designation announced for Alabama vs. Colorado State
The television designation for Alabama-Colorado State was revealed Saturday night.
It was already established that the meeting between Crimson Tide and Rams on Saturday, Sept. 16, in Tuscaloosa would be for a 6 p.m. CT kickoff, but after Saturday evening's games, the SEC unveiled whether the Week 3 game would air on ESPN or ESPN2.
Alabama-Colorado State will air on ESPN2, while LSU-Mississippi State will air on ESPN.
Saturday's game in Bryant-Denny Stadium will be the second-ever meeting between the two teams. The last time they played was in 2013 when ex-offensive coordinator Jim McElwain was the head coach of the Rams. The Crimson Tide won that game 31-6.
Colorado State enters next Saturday's contest with a 2-1 record, having defeated Abilene Christian by a score of 38-10 on Saturday night. Alabama will look to advance to 3-0.
