🏈 Colorado St. to announce Jim McElwain as Head Coach

Id thought he would hold for a better job. This is the same as the Fresno State job so I don't see why this would be "the one" but if it's true good luck to him. I just have a feeling this will be a regret in a few years

Good Luck to Jim. I wish him nothing but success. Now to go find a WR coach. TP has eluded to the fact that Groh will be the most likely replacement and we will plug someone else in at WR coach. I think it will be much like Kevin Steele leaving after the 07 season and Smart becoming the DC. I think that worked out pretty well for us.

Thanks Coach McElwain for helping bring this program to two BCS National Title Games, two SEC Championship games, 2 undefeated regular seasons, 1 undefeated season, 1 SEC Championship, 1 (possibly 2) National Championships, and our first ever Heisman Trophy winner.

The fact that anyone would say "good riddance" to a coach that helped bring us to this blows my mind.

Hate to see him go, but understand. With Coach Saban , I am use to assistant coaching changes. Suprised Smart hasnt took a HC Job yet to be honest. We will always have a turn around in assistants as long as Coach Saban is with Bama. Happy for Coach McElwain, he has done well here for us, and I thank him for it. Very underrated by Bama fans IMHO.

tacky comment

it's an internet forum.. not a card i put in his mailbox or even a post to his personal facebook. that's what people do here, talk almost 100% opinionated, speculative football. and there's nothing wrong with people having different feelings on different issues.

by "good riddance", i didn't mean "thank god we finally got that moron out of here"... i realize he has done a lot in the way of making these recent teams successful. i also haven't had any reason this year.. or last.. to feel inclined to care a whole lot one way or another about whether he stays or goes, and since it's clear that he's been wanting to go, then 'good riddance'. it's not as if there aren't others who could do his job. it's also pretty clear there has been some questionable, at best, play-calling when it mattered the most. i've never blamed coach mcelwain for anything personally, and i realize that "those" instances can't-and shouldn't- overshadow an otherwise great job-- i'm just simply apathetic.

good luck to him at CSU...

Good riddance is what you would say to Mike Price not Coach Mcelwain.... He represented this university in a positive and successful way.

"Good riddance" isn't a positive phrase by any means.
