To be fair, he attends high school in Columbia. His sister does as well and will be playing for the women. His mom's sister is the women's basketball coach? IDK, something like that. He's literally staying home and playing with his dad as coach.

Ah-ha, good point! Probably better to say the only reason he was going to WA to play for his dad. That changed when he got a gig to coach at Mizzou. Why not stay at home...

I hear you there. With the politics even in youth leagues and all the way up through the high school ranks I have been so close to saying the hell with it all and just teaching my kids golf, and letting them work at a young age and hopefully be like a Robby Shelton.

I've never been a big fan of the politics game!! When I started coaching HS baseball back in '95, we were building an on campus baseball facility. I had a parent that "volunteered" his abilities to lay the block for the dugouts and pressbox. Now his son wasn't on the team but was trying out. When I cut him, the work stopped on my dugouts and pressbox, but I did receive "a bill" for work done. Now, his son couldn't hit, couldn't field, and couldn't run. I liked the kid but I wasn't going to keep dead weight around and it eventually become cancerous because he wasn't playing. I sent the bill back and wrote on it......."This was volunteered work and no contract was signed discussing payment. Thanks for the start! I have someone else that will complete it AND not expect their son to be placed on the team!"

I dont know which was nastier, that 360 dunk or the alley-oop. This kid is going to be a problem for opposing offenses next year. Enjoy him fellas, cause hes only gonna be here for one year. Lets hope they can contend next year.

Wins a dunk contest and few days later wins 3pt shooting contest. Hopefully this kid is CAJ's Julio and we begin to land this kind of talent more often. Unfortunately, he isn't tied down for 3yrs like JJ.
