The University of Alabama will hold a basketball press conference on Friday morning. While UA did not officially announce the reason for the press conference, The News has learned that freshman Collin Sexton will announce his future plans at that time.

This follows a thought I had this morning.

How many kids have you seen that announced they headed to the draft on Twitter, Instagram, or another outlet like that? Versus...school holding a press conference with the player? I'm hoping it is done like they've handled the players on the football team. Good press move, and unique.

Would be silly to have a press conference to say he was staying, if the PC was solely for him. So it was pretty much a non-event. Nice to give him the forum to make it formal, I agree, but once they announced the thing, we all knew the result.

Donta was a 3 star recruit per 247 and 48th P.F. In the class . Heck , Braxton was a 4 Star and the 9th SF . I’m talking big time recruit .. [BGCOLOR=transparent]Jymachal Green was a 5 Star and 6th P.F in the class. [/BGCOLOR]
