🏈 College Football Playoff Chase:

I would bet all of yours and 252's bama bucks that Michigan beats Michigan state. OSU beats Michigan and OSU gets in by winning the big 10 championship. You've been relatively quite about Cincinnati. If they win out, would you put them in
Here, I'm taking Sparty +4½. I don't know if I'll play that locally or not.

A quick look at Covers.

It depends on what everyone else does. In the end it'll be a SOR in my view, at least that's how I'd call it. Their 2-0 against top 30 won't stand up against teams in the B1G or the Big12.

I won't be surprised if they are in and a part of me hopes they are just to see the expansionist scramble.

Well... Bama will have to get past UGa. Georgia is, and has been, playing good football. Bama...has shown flashes, but very inconsistent. Plus, Bama will have to get past the 'magic' of JHS. And, if Bama should get fouled up in JHS, and should ATM go undefeated the rest of the season, could that put the Aggies in the SECCG?

Roll Tide!

Watched more of other teams yesterday than I have in a long time. MSU will not be a threat in the playoff but Tucker has them playing hard. UM is their head coach and he is average. UGA is doing what they are doing due to a good tackling D. There are yards to be had against them but they limit what you do by tackling well. I still expect the UGA to come out in them at some point but this might be the year it does not. If Bama takes care of business we will see, I will never doubt CNS when the chips are down. All this talk about another team being the team to beat gives Saban a motivation tool. Bottom line Bama simply needs to improve themselves and then I feel good about our chances against anyone.

OM Kiffin forgot to take his meds. He puts way to much pressure on his team with his decision making process and undisciplined penalties (team takes on the personality of their coach again). Kind of like he has put the cart before the horse, what he wishes versus how it is in Oxford. He has not developed the foundation and culture enough to do this but not a surprise Kiffin will try and circumvent the process and try to go straight to the end.

The Barn is better than I expected but they are still an average team. Do they play A&M next week? A&M should beat them but the danger is a team that starts getting confidence can be a challenge.

UGA does tackle very well, which I think is one of our biggest issues on defense. UGA won’t get challenged at all until (maybe) the SECCG.

I didn’t watch the whole game yesterday, but their offense is still pretty plain. QB is nothing special but can make some throws and uses his legs well. Without his legs, he’s very average.

Bottom line, we just need to continue to improve. Still a lot of football to be played, injuries to be had, injured players to return, etc. The landscape will continue to change.

AU is a threat...
At Jh....
Crowd is relentless...
Glad we have the QB we have but will have to play serious D....

November is full of great football in SECw...

If Alabama played the way Georgia did yesterday the fan base would be bringing out pitchforks, building bonfires reminiscent of The Burning Man, and be calling for someone to be fired while pushing for the starter to be benched.

We'd see, "there's no way Bama wins the national title only scoring six points on offense."

I'm not making a forecast about how Georgia does this season. We'll see.

I am saying we wouldn't be seeing "look at how good the defense is playing." We'd be seeing how bad the offense is playing.

Oklahoma and Cincinnati ....oregon....gotta be licking their chops...since their are 2 head to heads by top 6.(..should bama win out...)

Definately...no other fan better hope bama beats uga in sec ccg....and sec gets 2 slots...be some big time butt hurt

November going be fun
The three teams you've mentioned—OU, UC, and UO—have the chance to win out. If they do we're going to have an undefeated OU, and undefeated Cincy, and a conference champ with one loss in Oregon.

If Bama wins out Georgia stays at home.

Of course, that's a spoiled fan base. We've all talked about how arrogant Alabama fans have gotten due to being so spoiled.

Not me … my favorite Bama team under Saban was the 2011 team. If Bama had had a FG kicker it would have been an undefeated team. I’m old and old school so I love great defenses. I saw Georgia play in person yesterday and they’re as good on D as advertised. They play violently and always on the attack. They’re rarely out of position, they rarely miss a tackle ... and they swarm to the ball even late in the game. The good news is they’re being spoon fed rat poison by the buckets. Hopefully, that will continue until the SEC CG … and hopefully Bama survives JH so they’re the ones to burst the bubble on that great D.

If Alabama and UGA meet with only one Alabama loss, and Alabama beats UGA in the SECCG, UGA falls to #4 or #3, whichever doesn’t cause an immediate rematch in the first round of the playoffs.

The UGA team has only given up 5 TD's I believe and is giving up 6 points per game. That is great D and is enough to overcome almost any offensive deficiencies. Multiple ways to skin a cat.

IF we can get our D cleaned up then we are talking about something. Our offense can put a lot of strain on a D if the opponents offense has a lot of back to back 3 and outs. See the Clemson NC game where we had what I would say is one of the best D's at Bama and it eventually broke when our offense kept going 3 and out.
