"WOW! It is here. It’s finally here. The smell of BBQ and bourbon fill the air. Football season starts today! Every year at this time I become a child again. The smell of fresh cut grass just transforms into a young buck with wild dreams and no cares. My biggest concern in those days was out-lasting the setting sun in order to get in one more touch-down before Mama called us in for supper. It all sounds so corny now but once in a very rare moment I can almost remember pretending to be Barry Sanders when he was still an Oklahoma State Cowboy or Derrick Thomas making another sack for the Crimson Tide. We only get to be young once but every once in a while we get to remember what it was like. I’m not going to draw this out a whole lot today. I’m going to make some picks and move on.
