I think that was a linebacker. I bet a lot of people underestimate how big he is and how he can throw his weight around. I mean, not sure how you underestimate 6'5, but 240 pounds moving is a load to stop for anyone.
A few QB draws would sure as hell stop that outside rush that he is backing up into rather than stepping up into the pocket. The draws might even teach him to step up into the pocket.
Which bodes the question. If I have noticed this, WHY THE HELL hasn't the coaching staff!?
Pretty sure after that drive he could be seen (reading lips) saying to a medical person "its my right shoulder" and wincing. I love watching him run over defenders like that too but he really is taking too many hits right now.
He's taking too many unnecessary hits by doing this. If he would step in the pocket more he'd would have to run as much. He reminds me of John Parker Wilson when he starts getting pressure. He just starts back peddling and never even considers stepping up in the pocket.
I know the sideline reporter said that he hurt his leg but I swear it looked like him say "Its my right shoulder" before he winced. Maybe I was just expecting it because of the hit.
