🏈 Coach Saban's Monday Presser

I don't know if anyone still has a rivals account or watches the press conferences on a regular basis but a few minutes ago I just got around to watching Monday's Saban press conference and I gotta say, this quote at the end of it may have been the most intriguing thing I've ever heard him say. He had gotten mad (what's new) in the middle of questioning and so at the end of it he started apologizing, and it was something like this, though I am paraphrasing: "Sorry about getting all sideways with y'all today, this is just a really big game FOR ME"

What do you make of this?? Is it just Dooley or does he see something wrong with Bama??

I don't think there is anything particular about Tenn that scares Saban right now, but he hasn't forgotten that we were at the same place (physically, and ability wise) 2 years ago, and we nearly got beat by them, so it may be a trap game for him - he doesn't want to let that happen again. But I still say they have nothing for us to be worried about - a 2nd string QB and lackluster running game.

Maybe it's a big game for him because it's basically Alabama's oldest rival? I mean a lot of fans, especially the older Bama fans, see UT as a bigger rival than Auburn.

I don't think it's any more than what he always preached since he has been at Alabama. The next game (in this case, the UT game) IS the biggest game. He even said something about being asked more off-topic questions during the SEC Coaches phone call today than ever before. He wants his team to stay focused and I guess he doesn't feel it translates well if you are talking about anything other than the next opponent right now, especially before the UT game.
