The following from a few Tweets re: the presser-

“It pisses me off when I talk to people who have this expectation that we won the game [by 1 point].”..... Saban gets loud, saying it's frustrating that people expect so much and aren't happy w/ the close win when the players are giving their all.......Basically if you were upset that Alabama only won 14-13 that Saban loud message was directed at you.........I guess the pressure is getting to him when he sees his team is not as potent as it was than before.

Can't wait til the video of that last part re: fans with high expectations comes out .. Stay tuned!

uhhhhh, Homeboy is a whole lot different with this team compared to 08-09.

I think the he took this opportunity to back his players to publicly relay his support. Perhaps, the pulse of this team has been to play not to lose. I know that others have alluded to this but his remark about L Collins' interception is very telling.

TerryP has remarked for years that if we listed to CNS he will tell us what's up. I think we just got a peek.

Yeah I agree. Obviously he knows the mental makeup of this team more than we do. So he obviously is doing what he feels is best for them.

i don't care about the point value. I'm disappointed to see all the talent Alabama has on the offensive side of the ball (which at skill positions is probably more than we have ever fielded at one time) go to waste because the line and TEs aren't blocking well and half our guys (maybe even the QB) aren't sure about the play. It's sad... that's all.

Yeah, it's tough to watch right now. Three of our five OL'men are underclassmen and that normally means mistakes and miscues. We basically have a freshman QB in Sims regarding experience level so it's tough to see all of that and NOT say we're rebuilding and are in some form of a transition.

There is no way Bama can win every game and bring home the NC every year BUT the penalties, fumbles and OL play are things that should upset all of us. I'll take a 1 point win every week, especially in the SEC and on the road. What I can't stand is the very sloppy play that we saw last Saturday.

@BigCrimson, one thing we often forget is how important it is for the OL to all be on the same page. Losing our starting center has hurt us much more than we ever thought it could. When the OL isn't on the same page, it affects the running game and QB play, especially with, for all practical purposes, a freshman QB, as you mentioned. It's not just as simple of plugging the next guy in when the OL is concerned.
