🏈 Coach, Make Room For Jarez Parks

Report: Alabama to Apply Grayshirt Status for Jarez Parks
Sorting through the sequence of events at Sebastian River High School (Sebastian, Fla.), it appears there was indeed a numbers issue when it came to matching up 4-star Jarez Parks and Alabama, his collegiate choice.

Rather than explore other options for a role during the 2017 season, the edge rusher has decided to accept grayshirt status from head coach Nick Saban, according to Andrew Bone of Rivals.com. If this is how the program proceeds, we won't see Parks in an Alabama uniform until 2018 spring practice.

Jesus, as devout as the Bama Nation is, can't we just crowd fund him a scholarship for his first season????? Bet we could do it with each donor giving like $5 or less!:bamadance:

This kid is totally devastated. He made an announcement video using the Eifell Tower as the A in Alabama. Come on Coach, if we had room for Solomon, then we surely have a spot now that he went to Michigan. The video is posted below.

What do you think the chances are that Saban told him - "hey, we don't have one for you TODAY, but wait til spring ball is over - some of these guys will move on, and once they do, we'll call you and you'll be enrolling this summer, just be patient"? I'd put money on him being in T-town the first week of June!

EXACTLY!!!! I'm a HUGE FAN Already! Hang in there Mr. Parks'! BAMA NATION WELCOMES YOU TO THE FAMILY!!!!

I for one would adopt the kid after that effort to play for the Tide and I don't even need the deduction. Sometimes it's just about the heart and it was nice to at least think that way this morning. This kid should get some serious Bama love for a hard sacrifice to make. And yesterday, turning down the gus-bus to take a gray shirt with the good guys is pure folklore stuff.
