🏈 Coach Haw Haw Sends Inquiry to the SEC Office

In other Coach O fuckery, my dad's expression when CBS was interviewing Coach O was priceless. He turned to me and said "what in the fuck did he just say?" and I just about lost it from laughter. He had a sheer look of confusion on his face.

I just watched the TD run and if you stop it, it does look like 3 separate holds. But in full speed, 3 guys blocking and 3 fighting to get off the block, no hold.
Pretty much agree with this, going to look back and do some stills if I can of before and after. Pretty sure he's just using these stills to get clicks and make himself out to be bashing officials

Ok, I've got a few stills to pop in going to go over them frames by frames to get an idea of what actually happened on the play. I will preface this by saying I did not see any blatant penalties, just a lot of bad angles by LSU defenders.

Here is the play setting up. Atop the screen you can see OJ Howard maintaining a block and pushing his defender further into the backfield. You can see Jonah Williams set the edge and allow the pass rusher inside and force his opponent deep as well. Bo Scarbrough is setting up to defend against the linebacker and push him whichever way he decides to go.

A small bit further you can see OJ has forced his defender much deeper during the play and is still not on his back or holding, hands are inside his own numbers and he is only attempting to block still. Jonah is still in great position and the defender is trying to fight through the block. As you can see the position of the Linebacker is incorrect as he positioned himself too far outside on this play with no inside help around and Scarbrough starts to set-up to push him up the field.

A moment or two later OJ Howard has started to lose control of his block and is just a moment away from letting the defender by. Jonah Williams is also about to lose his block on the inside as the defender presses further up the field with a swim move attempt. Bo Scarbrough makes contact with the linebacker and starts to force him up the field. The linnebacker realizing he's out of position attempts to fight back through the block with a rip, positioning himself incorrectly on the pass rush.

OJ Howard and Jonah Williams have both given up attempting to block their defenders. Scarbrough's defender is still trying to fight for inside leverage but his bad positioning is hurting his attempt at a pass rush.

Many think this is block in the back and a penalty, but it is actually not a penalty. The Linebacker is considered a pass rusher and it is not Bo Scarbrough's job to line him up between the numbers, if he takes himself up the field on his own volition and presents his back, just as if a defensive lineman tried a sping move. You're still allowed to push them up the field. This is not a call as if the defender had broken down and was awaiting a tackle only to be ran into from behind. He took himself out of the play with his poor positioning and is not subject to having a flag thrown. Thanks and have a good one!

You mean the "false start" when no one on the line so much as farted?

yeah, that shit right there pissed me off. even vern and gary said they didn't see anybody move to cause the penalty.

and what do these coaches think is gonna happen?

coach: "i want you guys to go back and look at the game tape again to see all the missed calls against the other team. it cost us the game."

sec office: "holy crap, your're right! i guess we'll go ahead and give you guys the win."

do they honestly think something will come from them doing this? the officials' office isn't going to go back and change the outcome of a game just because the coach of the losing team filed a complaint. that's like arresting someone for killing themselves because suicide is against the law.

He's gotta do something, he couldn't score on Alabama. Refused to give Alabama credit in his post game presser (same for the players).

Zero points, hell even Kentucky managed to score 6 points. LF7 is apparently injured (and missing from the post game pressers), so injured he hung 284 on Ole Miss 2 weeks prior.

Excuses.
