Coaches are superstitious so I would wear black if I were CKD. That 9-1 black shirt record looks much better than the 1-4 crimson color record.

Amen to that! When I got down here to Sylacauga, the HC was as superstitious as they come. In the previous 2 seasons, they had gone 25-2 before my arrival. Nevermind, the junior/senior classes had been pretty damned talented. We were replacing 21 starters my first year and got off to an 0-4 start. We had a different pregame meal each week! Week 5, we ate chicken and pasta and won. We ate chicken and pasta every Friday until we were put out of the playoffs. Next season started, we ate something different and won and ate the same thing til we lost. He had a favorite hat that he wore on Friday nights. One evening, he couldn’t find his hat in his office, so he sent myself and another assistant to his house to retrieve the hat! We came back with like 4 cardboard boxes full!!
On gameday, he would take a shower before pregame when we were at home.
I ain’t gonna lie! When I was HC for baseball, I had a few!

Gentlemen, I'm just a fan. I've been a fan since the beginning of the '73 season. My blood runs Crimson. When I think of the University of Alabama I automatically think 'Crimson and White'. To see any other color being associated with Alabama just doesn't seem right. Especially on individuals of importance to the Crimson and White. But, I am just a fan, and my opinion is of no real importance, but I just had to put in my pennys' worth (inflation has two cents worth only one now). I appreciate all of you and I get all of my Bama news right here. Thanks for tolerating and indulging me.
