Statistically he had a better game than his average. Perhaps he remembers those other games differently... And as @uagrad93 mentioned, he wouldn't have been much help against OJ, special teams, or the Eddie Jackson INT.
I'd argue that Clemson losing #2 early in the game had more of an impact than Shaq being 100% health at the end of the season...who's 100% at the end of the season. It's my opinion that there was a better shot of both teams being closer to 100% during the BCS days compared to the CFP format.

Finebaum put the pot back on the stove but it had been stirred plenty—pre and post game. This is the same Lawson making comparisons between middle school bullies and the Tide. In one breath he's saying "good team," in another he was making light of the success this team enjoyed last year. His complimentary comments are nothing more than lip service...which isn't a bad thing as long as it comes from a different gender.
You guys may think Paul is just stirring. Shaq still believes he never lined up offsides.
Clemson defensive end Shaq Lawson thinks Alabama's title game outcome would have been different if he was 100 percent healthy.
"It would have been a lot more different," Lawson told the Paul Finebaum Show. "At 50 percent I was affecting the quarterback a lot but sometimes I felt like if I pushed it too hard something would happen. If I was 100 percent the game outcome would have been a little different. Probably would have gotten a couple sacks when they had the long pass plays or I could have gotten there a (step quicker) when they got the pass for a touchdown."
...
Lawson's argument is the 2016 version of the Colt McCoy what-if from the 2009 national championship game. McCoy was injured on a Marcell Dareus hit when Texas was up 3-0 leading many Longhorns fans to wonder what would have happened if he never got hurt.
maybe...maybe not. Dude is just trying to talk confidently. NFL GM's and coaches like confident guys. Every time he talks to the media for the next two weeks it is a job interview.
