Did anyone catch this segment? I knew Travis was a controversial blogger/writer, but this guy has zero respect for anyone. Coming on Finebaum's show talking about sleeping with caller's wives or girlfriends. While a few callers stooped to his level as well, the fact is, the callers are callers on a call-in sports talk radio show. Travis is a supposed "professional" writer/author. It was mind-blowing to listen to what he was saying at times. He insulted the intelligence of almost every caller and carried himself in the most unprofessional manner I've ever seen.
 
He was on today. It was a rebroadcast of an earlier segment (see link below). I dont think he was the guy you mentioned.

If you wanna listen to his actual segment click on the link and jump to about 1/4th of the way through the segment. Make sure you did this on an empty stomach, or you might lose some of your lunch.

I dont mind the normal idiot callers on Finebaum and some guests that don't claim to be writers or authors, but my word this guy is a supposed professional. Even Finebaum chooses his words MUCH more carefully than this guy. He has no tact in his insults and namecalling.
 
Clay is a nice guy when you meet him in person. I've listened to his show and read his columns for several years now and I understand why he upsets some people.

But, I also understand that he's taking a story and offering a different view. I don't see a thing here to be upset about.

Yes, if Clay upsets you there is an alternative. Turn off the radio or change stations.

Nothing wrong with his story. However the tell people he is sleeping with your wife and name calling crap like that is uncalled for. I bet he is a nice guy in person because if acted like that all the time he would get the hell beat out of him.

EXACTLY. And from the looks of him he sure as hell shouldn't be talking as much crap as he does. He's a scrawny looking Vile fan. I'd love to see him run his mouth and talk about peoples wives or GFs in person like he does hidden behind a microphone. I can't stand people who act one way all safe behind a computer or on the air but act completely different in person. To each their own though.

I don't see anything that any of the callers said about clay's wife or kids to envoke him acting like an immature punk and stooping to a low level of taking shots at peoples wives and such. Especially the guy that asked him about Tebow. Clay reminds me of one of those morons who can dish it out but can't take it so when someone calls him on it he has to resort to below the belt insults to try and save some face. People like that are weak IMO.

Exactly. I'm not going to call the call-in audience of the Finebaum show a bunch of rocket scientists or even the classiest of people 100% of the time...but to just flat out personally insult someone to that degree with no real provocation is just uncalled for, I don't care what radio show you're on.

He wasn't even really that good at insulting people either to be perfectly honest...I kinda felt like I was back in high school with the lame insults he was throwing out.
 
He was obviously playing the audience, or playing to the audience, whichever you'd like to call it. But I think there is a lot more tactful ways to accomplish that. Insulting people's spelling abilities and saying he will sleep with your wife is a lot different than what could be done.

FYI, I listen to Finebaum, because I'm currently in Chattanooga and unless I wanna listen to Tennessee next year this and Lane Kiffin that, I only have Finebaum as a substitute. Some of the guys in Chattanooga Sports Radio are about as bad as Finebaum, so at least I'm hearing about Alabama.
