"College football fans are waking up to some terribly sad news this morning.
Cincinnati offensive lineman Ben Flick was reportedly killed in a single car accident last night in Hanover Township, Ohio. Two of his teammates ā Mark Barr and Javon Harrison ā were also injured in the crash. The tragic news was confirmed by the school this morning.

āI canāt put into words how tragic this is,ā Head Coach Tommy Tuberville said. āAs a father and a coach, itās something you hope you never have to go through. Ben was so proud to be a part of this team and University. He worked hard and had shown a great deal of improvement since the summer. His future was bright. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Flick family on their loss. We also hope and pray for Mark and Javon to recover from their injuries.ā
Flick was just 19 years old. It is not yet known the cause of the accident.
