Eight games into season, Alabama's offensive production is close to lapping the field

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Tua Tagovailoa said it was time to go back to the drawing board.

Seriously, he did.

He had just passed for 306 yards and four touchdowns, going 19-for-29 without having an interception, and Alabama crushed Tennessee 58-21.

But twice it had to punt. It doubled the number of kicks the Crimson Tide had made over the previous three weeks, against Louisiana, Arkansas and Missouri combined. Consequently, Alabama will finish the month of October with three total punts.

ā€œWe didn’t execute as well as we wanted to offensively,ā€ Tagovailoa said. ā€œThis is where we go back to the drawing board and work on what we missed.ā€

Yeah, it’s good to be the Crimson Tide right now."

...the fact that the Tide have now won 80 straight against unranked foes is all the more remarkable when you process...

Back in September Wisconsin was the team in 2nd place for the streak of wins against unranked opponents. While Bama was looking at #76-77 at the time, Wisconsin was looking for their 42nd until their loss to BYU.
