That won't come into play with Allen because he hasn't used his true redshirt year. In essence, the NCAA isn't going to approve a hardship waiver with the RS still on the table.
Lets say T-Lewis makes it back by Auburn. He hasn't played at all up until then. Lets say he plays Auburn, SEC Title and playoffs. Could he still get a redshirt?
Yes, because he hasn't used his either. He'd fall under the four game clause.
Personally, I have doubts Lewis uses the RS and have doubts we'll see him in Crimson next season.
**If the four game redshirt rule was in place last season Lewis could have claimed his shirt in '17. As I recall, he missed 10 of the 14 games.
