🏈 Cheap shot or not? UT Kicker

I saw this on a UT forum. Does this look like a cheap shot to you? Keep your eye on Daniel Lincoln at the :28 mark.

I dont think so....IMO he reacted to the possibility that our player had the ball. He didnt have time to plan a cheap shot attack.

Looks like one in that clip. I'd like to see a better video or even a picture. Lincoln give s a shove but look at the holder. It looks like he's punching.

The holder is wearing the black butt guard.

Not sure what that was other then 1) irrelevant at this point, 2) insignificant in the context of a football game, and 3) odd.

It looks to me like one of our players sprinted to the middle of the field, where he ended up in front of Lincoln who sped up to shove our guy. Our guy returned the shove, and after a face-to-face moment the situation corrected itself.

So in the end, I divert back to point #1, its irrelevant at this point.

IMO...In his mind..he thought the Bama player was advancing the ball possibly...due to him running the opposite way at a good clip...probably had no clue where the ball was actually at....Things happening pretty fast...I dont think he ran after our guy to hit him or retaliate in any way...besides...it really make no difference one way or another.

I am referring to the kicker...now what the holder was doing...I really couldnt tell...running behind one of our guys...not sure.

I had to watch it 6 times before I could finally find the kicker & holder in that myriad of human bodies, BOTH of them attacked Alabama players for no apparent reason what-so-ever. The SEC should suspend them both for 1, maybe 2 games.

Someone needs to find a higher quality version of the same vid & send that in to the SEC. NO player should get away with such behavior, ever.

it was MOST DEFINITELY a cheap shot by the holder and the kicker. If you can't see it you must be blind.

By the way Lane's daddy bears much of the blame for the way his sone turned out.

Is this really shocking, considering the attitude of his Coach about the penalties and headsets. Although the majority of the penalties were pre-snap errors not open to human judgment and the headset issue was due to the stupidity of his own personnel. The team takes on the personality of its Coach and TN is coached by a spoiled brat who looks to blame someone else when he doesn't get his way.

You don't seem to understand. It's on the video. Just because you don't have the visual capacity to see it, doesn't mean it didn't happen. This is no "feeble attempt to attack" anyone. We just noticed something happened....then said that it happened, just like Spurrier did.

We had a star linebacker strike a referee?? Must not have happened in the past 30 years as I'm fairly certain I would remember one of our players being ejected and suspended for such a thing.

There's no way you can look at that clip and think that the kicker was still trying to play the ball. 75% of the Alabama team was on the field at that point.

I'm all for hearing people out and looking at different opinions, but you just seem like you want to act up. :no-no:
