🏈 Charter + SEC Network = Done

Good news for me! They serve the section of Lawrence County I live in from Hartselle. We have much better service than the city of Moulton residents who have Charter just 5 miles away.

I called customer service again today (Friday) and they don't know anything or at least are not making it public.

I'm assuming a lot of facts clearly not evidenced by cable companies and their customer service departments in past actions/reactions.

It seems to me if there was going to be an issue with Charter not carrying the network by its launch date their customer service reps would be informed by now and have been told "this is how you handle this call."

Assuming a lot, aren't I?

@TerryP, another thing that Charter is doing in our area, maybe everywhere, is going all digital. If you don't already have a digital box from them, they will replace it for free for one year. I received an updated channel listing for the new digital channels from them yesterday that goes into effect on August 12 and the SECN is not listed. I'm assuming they'll send out another one if they reach an agreement ? Doesn't make sense to me either.

@Bamabww Is there a date of print on the flyer? I'd think they'd have had those printed well in advance and waited until a few days remaining to avoid sending them to old customers.

I figured out how to embed radio streams here a few weeks ago...although I couldn't tell you exactly how I did it now! :bandhead:

Worst case scenario for some...if I can remember how I did it, and can find a stream, I may embed one here for gamedays.

Terry texted me and gave me the news. I replied that I was going to call customer service just to see what they'd say. I got "Joseph" this time and he said"Yes, I know we're going to carry the SECN. Expect an announcement soon." I asked, "what channel will it be" and the reply, "that's not decided yet." What package will it be in?" "I can't say for sure." Will it cost the subscribers any more to get the SECN?" " That is still being negotiated." "But you know for sure Charter will carry the SECN on August 14?" Yes, we will be carrying the SECN at the start of foot ball season." I just hung up and texted Terry back. I'll call them again tomorrow, as Terry suggested.

But that's good news. Thanks for sharing that and to @TerryP for breaking the news to me.
