šŸ€ Charleston Classic> Bama defeats Wichita State 90-86

Pulled up the stat tracker on my iPad to follow while I was working. Slammed the iPad down and broke the screen!! It amazes me at just how bad kids can suck at shooting the basketball. Damn!!!
Dang @UAgrad93 ...its just basketball...lol

50+ It goes back to my days as a coach. I coached for 13 years and basketball was just one of my sports. I used to drill and drill fundamentals, line them up and shoot FTs over and over. I charted them as well. We would then lose a game by 3 shooting 5-17 from the FT line!! I coached to win, not have a good time. Damn at the headaches I used to get!!
When I chose to get out, my BP went down and the headaches stopped!!

Gotta ya....played at some level of organized bball for....lord only knows how many years,...
To hard to count....and like ms50+ said last Sunday vs Appy State....
"You never shot that poorly".
Gottta ya frustration

@50+yeartidefan I'm fibbing about the iPad, but not about my displeasure. I always took great pride in my teams being prepared. If they weren't, it was a reflection on me. @TerryP I would hope CAJ would feel the same. I'm not abandoning ship though. I understand getting a rotation you can hang your hat on, but damn free throws though!!!! 15 feet with NO ONE in your face!!!! DAMN!!!!!!

@UAgrad93, kids do not work on shooting anymore as you well know. When was the last time you saw kids play horse or around the world? I watched a little of our high school practice yesterday and just about died. Kids come out before the official start of practice and the first thing 12 of the 14 players did was grab a ball and launch it up from the 3 point line and did a running dunk! I was taught years ago that you start on or near the block and work your way out away from the goal. Elbow in, pick the nose and follow through! Drilled that routine over and over to kids for years. Dont even get me started on free throws! Kids cant shoot because they are not being taught to shoot correctly and they do not work on shooting.

Our body language yesterday was so bad that the commentators actually said something about it. That even when we scored there was no excitement by the team or attempt by any of the players to rally the team around any success. You could reasonably argue that we were bringing one of the best big men in the SEC back for a senior season in Donta Hall. Did he even score? Or play defense? Ingram, Hall, and AJ Jr. have been around the program for a long time, yet, no leadership or immediate, game time anger that would hold that mess accountable. These boys obviously haven't been watching our football team.

It's exhibituon basketball...W and L padding, but still.

I llok at it akin to A-day. You can take good and bad 'takes' out of the weekend.

It's not exhibition basketball. Exhibition games do not count on your record. This is a tournament that just happens to have a team in it that we have already played.

Look at the bottom of the bracket and you will find this:

Non-Bracketed Game(s): Ball State at Purdue (Nov. 10), Appalachian State at Alabama (Nov. 11), Northeastern at Davidson (Nov. 24)

Bracket - Charleston Classic

Much better at this point

Everybody is entitled to their opinion and I am not trying to change anyone's but my opinion is leave CAJ alone for this season and next

I agree contrary to what some think on this board CAJ is going nowhere. He has the #11 recruiting class some in next year.
I don't believe recruiting his AJ's problem. It's more what happens once they arrive. This is his year to show what he's got. AJ's problem is every team around Bama is rising.
