This is a tryout to show he can earn an invite to combine. The combine is where he will need to impress to get drafted otherwise, this is something he needs to do to get invite to the combine.

I hope he comes back. Angry Chuck was my favorite player. And I think he made more of an impact than anyone except Miller and Quinerly. His defense saved Bama several times.
