My point was, sex trafficking. Could be just how the law is written? Legal jargon isn't my background.

Something like this is always sad but when it involves minors, its tragic.

No doubt, but unclear if these guys were looking for sex with underage people or if thats what was provided to them and the police caught them. Big difference in my opinion.

Why underage people are selling themselves is a whole other topic. Same for people wanting to pay for sex.

To me it sounds like soliciting a prostitute but they probably hit them with "sex trafficking" for more time. Personally, I don't care if you wanna buy a hooker. More power to ya but when I start seeing the word "minor" thrown in there, too. That's when we got a problem.

Not surprised the human trafficking charge was dropped. Somewhat surprised all charges were dropped.

Robinson said 10 of the defendants have had preliminary hearings so far, and Farmer’s is the first to be dismissed. The judge who heard evidence against Farmer, he said, had previously heard evidence against six other suspects and said Farmer’s case was not similar to the others. “The facts of his case were not remotely similar to the other 15,’’ Robinson said.


While the judge did not forward Farmer’s case to a grand jury for indictment consideration, prosecutors still could do so. Robinson said he did not know if prosecutors will do that and said Farmer does not face any additional charges for now. He declined to elaborate on the specifics of his client’s case.

Robinson said he and his client are glad to have the preliminary hearing and are pleased with the outcome. “It has been quite upsetting for family and friends and not being able to communicate the real facts,’’ he said.

That is not cool at all if true. Less than 25% of the people that saw the initial reports will see the dismissal.
