Charcoal in January?

Does anyone know where I can find some charcoal (preferably lump) in January? I was planning on smoking some ribs Thursday, but I haven't seen a bag anywhere around.

Ask the garden shop employees at your nearest Walmart. A few weeks ago, they were keeping a small supply of "summer" items in a corner in the outdoor area (I was looking for some 2 cycle oil and it was there). Otherwise, I would recommend a store that doesn't rotate seasonal stock too much, like a TruValue or such.

Sprouse's Butcher Shop in Gardendale usually keeps it year round. The old man in there is a real treasure. I could shoot the bull with him for hours.

Thanks guys. I was in Wal-Mart last night, but it did not occur to me to check the garden area. I'll have to give it another look.

I don't have any Tru-Value's or Ace Hardware's around me. So Hopefully I can find some in Wallyworld, Lowe's, or HD.

A butcher shop in Gardendale sounds great and I'd love to go, but I live ~ 30 NW of Huntsville.
