šŸˆ CFP meetings this week. Without expansion, one stakeholder observed, "I wish Alabama best of luck in the next four championship games."

You can add the PAC to that in recent years, plus what will a post-TX/OK Big 12 champion look like with that conference watered down with BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF?

I cannot see the SEC allowing expansion to make it harder for a second SEC team, or make it impossible for a third SEC team, to get it.

RTR,

Tim
Well...for sure the big 12 is going to be more of a mid major conference then p5

But they produce good teams other than ok and tx through the years...

My thought was an alternative to 12 team playoff
Which I think is an awful ideal

Seems to me like BAMA/LSU rematch was the reason for the 4 team playoff. It also seems like Alabamas’ success in the 4 team playoff will be the reason for expansion again.
I'm noticing a pattern that seems to suggest BAMA keeps reshaping college football in some form or another.

BAMA/LSU rematch in 2011
The "Saban" rule
Coach Saban talking about certain aspects of the game that he said shouldn't change. And when they they did, he worked to dissect them, then destroy the opponents who were laughing at him and BAMA about not keeping up with the times.
BAMA being in the hunt almost every year
*Being in the CFP 7 times
*Playing for the CFP NC 6 times
*Winning 3
BAMA/UGA rematch this past season

Seriously, though, it is interesting how BAMA has been at the forefront when they talk about the changes. Of course, it would also happen if it were any other team.

Right?

It doesn't change the facts. You're calling the same games, with the same teams, "crap" in one breath and saying you want to see the same games, the same teams, in another.

It's like a convenience store on a two lane road in BFE putting a sign up that says "under new management." It's still the same store: they just added letters to the sign.

Ridiculous

Dont see ur point at all

Am saying. Big difference between CFP game anc irrelevant Bowl game.
May be same teams in name but we know their is difference.
Op outs
Preparation
Attendance
Etc

And if a store changes owners. Different people run things differently.
So. No. The store on ur highway might very well be different

Two phrases you have correct—opt outs and preparation—except you have them in reverse order.

Preparation for opt-outs is where the mind-set needs to be. It's going to happen.
