🏈 CFBW: @Finebaum will take his radio show national on @ESPN, as well as simulcast it on the @SECNetwo

Damn Finebaum is about to get PAID.

He's been getting PAID...but no doubt he's getting significant boost here.

In the last few weeks he's just deposited a check for 500K that was an advance on a book on his show. BTW, did you know it was his wife who is the big bread winner in the family?

The point he's being simulcast on SECN makes me wonder if he's looking at some changes to his format.

As someone else put it...he's a professional antagonist. He's done well selling his "brand".

I've not been a regular listener. The only times I have listened is when I knew there was an interview coming up I wanted to hear, a replay of an interview, or there was a breaking story where I was curious what kind of reactions fans would be having.

The impression I've always come away with is he isn't necessarily the antagonist, but when a "sore subject" does come up he does "poke the bear" with his callers. Their comments certainly drive people to the edge.

should be fun to see how he does without his normal callers, I have a feeling ESPN will tell him to ditch those people

No way. That's what ESPN is paying for. Without them, there is no show. I've been fortunate enough, or unfortunate according to some, to get Finebaum on Sirius over the last few years. Say what you will, but here in Central Florida, to get an Alabama centric sports talk show is a godsend regardless of who is hosting it. Finebaum gets as good of guests on his show as any other out there if you're a college football fan, and I miss the crazy that I hear on there. It reminds me of home, but I digress. The show has broadened big time geographically since I've been listening, normal callers and all.

He may not be people's favorite, but dude knows what he's doing. And yeah, Mama is making bank, too. That's the way you do it, fellas. ;)

I'll echo that in a different tone.

I realize a lot don't like Tim Brando or his talk show. But, in the off-season when you're tired of NBA talk, as one example, having a show talking about collegiate sports is welcomed—no matter how often I might disagree with the commentary.

Then again, I have to admit. I can listen to him and know it's his opinion and in the end it means little, if anything. I may not agree with what he's saying, but I can't fault him for having a viewpoint no matter how off base it might be.

Yeah I've heard him talk about his wife being a doctor and some of the callers have mentioned it.
