šŸˆ CFB is messy...but when anyone claims it's "ruined" I always ask the same question: Do fall Saturdays still feel the same?

Not really.

Agreed. They are different. Just like the NFL, new players every single year now. Turning to an elitist ttpe event because costs are rising.

I'm curious if people are seeing a difference in their ticket connections. Like, does your company still get tickets, does your neighbor still share with you when they can't use them?
I’m going to disagree with everyone (not uncommon). In the past we would follow players from recruitment into their first year and watch their progress over their Alabama career. Today players are quick to transfer so our observation period is much shorter before they’re gone to another program. New players transfer in but we don’t know their history and recruitment story.

I'm going to somewhat agree with you.

If that three or four seconds, he's right. That moment in games still has the same feeling. However, it's the feeling 10 minutes later that's changed.

IE: "That's a hell of a catch by Ryan Williams. I wonder if he'll be here next season?" It's that thought a few seconds later that rings the loudest with the fan base.

Look at this scenario:

"The Gravedigger." "...name writ in Crimson Flame..."

What last season could have been for a player, a fan base, and the history from a program. That play won't disappear, his name in flame? Extinguished.

College football is still pretty damn awesome for me.

Having players transfer in/out sucks. Especially when you see Bama players leave to rivals. When I was younger it was sports, sports, sports and more sports, so the competitor in me just doesn’t comprehend how you can go play for a team you just hated the previous season. But that’s obviously not the mentality.

Still though, the rivalries you get are unmatched. In the SEC in particular, the passion you get from fans…you don’t get that in the NFL and never will.

Not the same. The game itself has changed. Too many new rules and regulations. Tackle football will be phased out some day and replaced by flag football. Mostly teams are made up of hired mercenaries. Here today, gone tomorrow. Thanks for everything. Bye. Televised games. Please Lord, help me. I remember the first game I ever attended. Not who we played or if we won or lost. I wondered why the Reffs stopped play and why all the time outs? Then it dawned on me. A televised game.
