Multimedia has forced what I consider some pure writers into voice and video roles. Cecil is much more comfortable, to me, looking at a deadline instead of a camera or microphone. Some, like Finebaum, adjusted well. Montevallo had a good mass comm program when I was there, and the entire school was small at the time (capped at 2,600), so you knew most of the on-campus folks by sight, and some of the mass comm guys were friends. Junior (Jim) Dunaway used to sit in our chapter room with the sound down on the TV and call games. He was good then, and you knew he'd do well.
