Interesting article @TUSKstuff, thanks for sharing that. It won't be long before they figure out if Alabama has a dual threat QB and the team they're playing doesn't, Alabama probably has an unfair advantage.

It really gripes my ass for them to attack our program for being successful.

I think what Saban is referring to paying interns is student assistants. A tier lower than GAs.

That's how I took the comment. Seeing "GA's pay" thrown around is a bit disingenuous considering they have their tuition waived.

FWIW, the last time I looked at student assistants compensation it was between $7 and $10 per hour (most were claiming $9 per hour.) To me, it isn't a lot different than work-study for undergrads monetarily.

Some of these head coaches, like Mike Gundy, talk like they don't have the resources to compete, that doesn't make a lot of sense. Just look at the money some of these guys are spending on recruiting alone. I wonder if having that much talent on staff is intimidating to a lot of HCs not that secure in their job description?
