šŸˆ Carroll To Jim Harbaugh: ā€œI Am Not Forgetting Itā€

If Harbaugh really wanted to stick it to Carroll he should have gone for 2 and then said something like this at the press conference when questioned.

"Well, I respect Pete and what he's done at USC. He's a great coach, and if you're a young, aspiring coach yourself you could do a lot worse than try and emulate Pete Carroll. That's basically what I did today. While on the sidelines and up by an insurmountable lead, I thought to myself......what would Pete Carroll do?"

Punk @** got what he deserved in my opinion. There's an old saying that goes something like, you want to beat your opponent, never humiliate them. This is why; Payback is a ....... and Carroll has been beating inferior teams as bad as humanly possible for a long time for no other reason than style points. He had it coming IMHO.

Agreed! Especially in 2005 when SC scored over 50 points in 7 of their 12 wins. 2 (Hawaii and UCLA) of the 7 were over 60 and 1 (Arkansas) was 70.

You can say that again.

I would love to see someone stick it to USC again and instead of running up the score on them, get down inside the 5 and just take a knee 4 straight plays.. This would be even better if they were still in the 3rd quarter or maybe early 4th. See what Pete has to say about that

We need a high five button on here.

Carroll's a prick. Does he honestly think this isn't justified with the way he's done teams in the past? Get a clue man...seriously.

I agree with what everyone has posted. Pete Carroll is an over-rated goob of a coach.

* He has NFL talent and he still finds ways to lose games.
* He worked with Kiffen (that says a lot)
* His teams are constantly soft and play with little drive
* He pounds people in the ground and complains when the tables are turned
* He got Hesimans by pounding people just because he could

Amen. I could not agree more.

I think EDSBS had one of the better quotes on the subject this past monday:

ā€œWhat is wrong with you?ā€ From the SF Chronicle, who stylishly refers to the 55-21 beating of USC by the Cardinal on Saturday as a ā€œdefenestration:ā€
ā€œWhat’s your deal? What’s your deal?ā€ Carroll said, according to two sources near enough to hear.
ā€œWhat’s your deal?ā€ Harbaugh retorted, and that was that.
YOUR MOM! YOUR FACE! The best answer for Harbaugh could have been ā€œNothing, I’m just infected with WIN, that’s all,ā€ but the heat of the moment boils the wit out of many. Going for two in the fourth quarter standing on a 48 spot to make an even fifty is retort enough, though not quite as good as getting the ball back and getting 55 anyway. Jim Harbaugh fears no man.
