🏈 Can we win out with 4 linebackers done?

At least they (the new guys) got experience earlier this season. Hopefully, they can now get up-to-speed quickly. We have talent and a little experience now at this point in the season. Not sure what to expect from Miss State, I think they are all about Fitzgerald (QB). The road ahead is still going to be challenging. The bottom line is, if we're the best, we'll be just fine, but it will be a hard fight all the way to the finish.
Roll Tide everyone!!!

Unfortunately, injuries are just part of the game. The phrase "next man up" would not mean crap if not for solid recruiting and coaching that has been part of the "process". I truly believe that we have the best most complete team out there, but if the season does not end with a "w", I hope that injuries will not be used as an excuse.

The injuries will absolutely be an excuse. If we had:

Healthy Hand
Miller
Lewis
Hamilton
Wilson

We would win easily the rest of the way.

If we had Eddie Jackson and SDH last year we would've beat Clemson. It's the difference between 16 and 18 national titles possibly.

Gosh, all these injuries to one position. Can't remember this happening to any team. And losing studs. Where is Ben Davis, has he even seen the field? And Moses was getting playing time early in the season but not much since the injury. Glad to see him in some last night.

We will get burned in some plays due to inexperience. And be out of position some. No doubt about it. But we can still handle any team. To me, Fitzpatrick is the key. If he misses Auburn or SEC game, we have cause to worry. Hole his injury isn't serious.

Well of course you are right, but what are we going to do? We won't give up, that's for sure. The coaches have to coach these guys well, and we have to hope for the best. If we can't win out, it's just one of those things with all the injuries. It's a shame, and I hate if for these boys more than anything. For SDH and Miller, it hurts their future draft. For the others, what a shame to work so hard only to be done because of an unfortunate injury. As you said, last year, losing some key guys who had given so much hurt the rest of the team, and the same may happen this year. Just gotta be proud of these guys and cheer them on all the way. The odds get higher, but hope is not lost.

Roll Tide!

It's a legitimate issue. SDH loss is killer. I think Holcombe is a good player and very capable, but it takes special players to win a title and SDH was one of them IMO.

We are an Evans injury away from being in serious trouble. Hopefully the Minkah injury won't linger past Auburn... That Mercer game will be a good time to play the Rook's at MLB and in the secondary. We will need them to finish the season.

As noted above, looking at the offense to pick up the slack. They have to find a rhythm in those big games

Guys are hurt, so just lay down and quit? Worry about next year? Sheesh, you would think this team is 2-7 instead of 9-0 with the talk of some of the people around here. Even saw someone on here last night say Bama will "probably" drop a few spots in polls because they "only" beat the #19 team in the country by two touchdowns.

A game that was never really close either.

No...it wasnt a game that had the feel of losing.....miracles happen...
And the drops kept it at 14 ....comfortable 14.....
And Bama had the ball in the red zone at the end and took a knee...as NS always does....
So it was a 21 spread and was as much so...
LSU made 1 big play....a couple of nice throws and catches....a couple of PIs were not called.... but the game had the feel of full control...
LSU was poorly represented by their fans....lots of empty seats...everywhere...
Stadium did Not have the energy of the Tennessee game...
Bama looks to be bored with teams that don't challenge them...
Injuries are bad a LB...but there is depth...and quality backing up ..
Look forward to MSU this weekend.......
