🏈 Can anyone verify this?

Saban isn't going anywhere Mr.Louisiana. You folks down in that crud of a state wish he would, so Miles didn't look like a loser. Saban has stated several times this is last stop and where he wants to remain for the rest of his career unless of course he loses a ton and he gets the boot which I dont see.

IMO I think Meyer leaves for ND in the next year or so.

Listen to the words I am speaking. Hear me now and smell me later. Remember what I said regarding Tuberville last year and in the preseason this year.

Meyer is as much a lame duck as Weiss.

Meyer went to Florida for two reasons.

(1) He was not a household name, and in order to rebuild Notre Dame, Meyer felt that he needed to pad his resume. He knew the talent level at Florida and what he could do there.

(2) Meyer had 3 kids at home. Florida is a talent rich state and you can recruit in-state and be home with the family at night. One of Urban's kids has since departed the nest, and another will soon. The third is his son, who is a middle schooler. Meyer knew that recruiting Notre Dame is a national job. That would take him away from his family more than he wanted. With two kids out of the house, his time is less divided. Travel is not as big of a deal.

If Notre Dame offers him the job again, he will take it. He knows that he will only get one more shot.

I believe that he has already spoken with ND, and will take the job after the 2009 season. If Tebow returns, along with the stable of talent on hand, he will be poised for another NC run at Florida. I believe the reason ND did not fire Weiss, is that they are waiting on Meyer. That is the most likely scenario...otherwise Weiss would have been fired. There is no other explanation. As high as our expectations are at Bama, ND is higher. They do not tolerate losing the way Weiss is losing. Notre Dame finished 6-6 this year, and the only team they beat who had a winning record was Navy - losers to Duke, Ball State, and Pitt.

The return of Weiss is just buying time for Meyer to become available...think about it, there has been no talk of a new contract for Meyer, even though his last reworking was 2005.

Meyer will bolt to ND after 2009. I will be shocked if he doesn't.
Fixed it, . I think he will leave too. But hadn't thought about it like that exactly. Interesting way to look at it.
HA! Exactly the same thing I posted on a couple of other boards. Couldn't agree more. I also believe that is the ONLY reason Weiss was given another year....that and the fact Weiss, although a bad coach, is a great recruiter & is simply stocking the cupboard for Urbie. ^^YOUda

I hope I am wrong, but I fear it is Saban who is feeling the pull of Touchdown Jesus. He has happy feet.

I bet you are wishing ole Les Nessman would have taken the Michigan job. The guy is not a good coach. Moron and good coach are mutually exclusive, you guys should have known that. His defenses have ALWAYS been bad...I said when you hired him that teams would be dropping 40-50 on you in a couple of years.

Saban recruited real talent that happened to have high rankings. It looks like Miles recruits high rankings that don't have the talent. I mean...ole Joe McKnight would never have left the state when Saban was at LSU.

Less Nessman...Mr. Hat!
