Certainly we are a different team without him but THE BEST formula for an offense to readjust their play calling after losing such a skill player, IS OUR OFFENSIVE LINE. I was worried before jawja about how good they'd perform. I'm not worried anymore. That is the best O-Line in the country & our offense is primarily affected by play action. I'm sure Saban & Sarkisian have both told the O-Line that they are going to have to take the lead at getting even better than they are now.

And, frankly, I think they will. That only amplifies Mac Jones' ability to do his job at getting the ball to the best RB & WR corps in the country. I just want to run though EVERYBODY like $hit through a tin horn now. I'm sure the team does too because sometimes these things can amp up a team as opposed to getting them down.

He didn't mention who could win it. I still think he is overblowing this injury though. I still say our chances of a Natty will depend on whether our defense can get some key stops and can they not blow an assignment in the secondary. I think our offense is still dynamic without Waddle, we will just have to find someone else or others to pick up the slack in his absence. Will it be Bolden by himself, likely not, but it could mean a few more touches dished out to Forristall or Billingsley or one of the freshmen WRs to step in with a few big catches.

But for this offense to lose 1 player (even though Waddle was a great one) after 5 games and for him to jump to that conclusion is pretty short-sighted. Wonder what he was saying over the summer when Clemson lost Justyn Ross for the year?

Bama has the offense to keep pace with most. What we need is the defense to get better. Maybe some of the younger guys will improve and challenge some current starters going forward. I don't listen to Gameday nor do I listen to the game announcers (no volume). Try it and you might actually like it.

Not a peep I imagine. Simply “next man up” verbiage I imagine. Biggest impact on the team is those hidden yards in the return game that we would get from Waddle back there on kickoff and punt return.
