So CJ refuses the Senior Bowl but will do this stupid ass skills challenge? I love CJ but I gotta say this really irritates the hell outta me. CJ and AJ refusing to participate in the Senior Bowl was the whole reason I didnt go.

Birdman37 I don't really have a problem with CJ not playing in the Senior Bowl...... at this point i think his stock is pretty much set (outside of the combine.) Playing in the Senior Bowl has the potential of a big time injury. On the field, I dont think has anything to prove at this point. Skills challange doesn't present as much of a possibility of injury like a full contact game. But thats just my opinion. At this point he's no longer apart of the team and needs to look out for his best interest. Maybe.....

who cares if they don't go to the senior bowl? they make their decisions based on what's best for themselves. as well, CJ may be getting tired of all the attention; something that being at the senior bowl would certainly bring. yes the skills challenge will have it's share of media events, but it's probably nothing on par with what the senior bowl has.

i've never looked at the senior bowl as a big deal. it's just a place for fresh-out-of-college players to showcase their skills one more time. but that's something they've been doing for the past 4 years. did the nfl scouts and general managers not get enough to look at in those 4 years? it's one "game" after the season has been over for a month that doesn't mean much. and if a player gets seriously hurt (torn acl or bad concussion), what do they get out of it?

It was boring as hell... HaHa finished in third place against all corners... Mosley would have won but he got hit with a BS penalty on the ropes (I never saw his foot touch but they threw a flag anyway), that cost him a second and cost him the win... his team won in the team competition tho.
