What a horrible analogy. Wearing a seat belt is a law. It's not a choice. Don't wear it, and you get a ticket.

Wearing masks saves lives. Don't wear masks and there will be no football.

And this isn't aimed at you, but LOL at the internet tough guys out there on their no mask wearing stance.

Yes, we can get philosophical as well. Not murdering people is also a choice which most do regardless of legal mandate.

I included the study link to my initial comment to provide some non political/emotional info to the conversation. That is what I am after otherwise it quickly escalates. My 2 cents. Any article that does not include some form of science behind it I ignore it. Even if there is a study I want to understand the environment and assumptions used in the study because biases can also be mask with how a study is done.

Same here. We are refusing to shop in Athens (30 minutes away) because of the mask mandate.

About the only consistent in all of this is the fact that there has been zero consistency. Everything is all over the place. There are people who haven't been to work since March,.citing that it's "just too dangerous right now". Yet, they have had no issue going other places. I guess water skiing doesn't pose as high of a Covid 19 risk as an office building. I heard someone say, and I quote "despite nobody having been inside of the office since March 13, I'll bet there is still coronavirus alive and well in there somewhere". Hmmm...so now the virus can survive and thrive in unoccupied offices? But it can't live out on the open water.... sunlight and all,.I guess.

Personally, I think that people who have been "too scared to work" should not be out doing leisure activities, even if the risk of catching the Covid is lower doing said activities. The same logic should apply across the board. And... curiously....those same ones who "can't work right now due to the risk" are very anti mask. This whole pandemic is no laughing matter, obviously, but damn if it hasn't had it's comical moments.

I do not care to wear a mask, just to keep from getting or spreading the virus. Is it scientific, do they keep you form getting or spreading the virus?
My opinion is that if you are working around or stirring up some sort of dust or other particles, then by all means wear a particle mask, such as a N95, which does not keep out all particulate. I recently ordered some mask off EBAY, because Governor Ivy made them mandatory in public here in Al., at least until the end of July. I found out that all N95 mask are manufactured in China. Recently, there has been an influx in the number of cases due to more testing and...................
surely it could not possibly be people ordering N95 mask from China that could possibly be pre- tainted with the virus? No, there is no way they would do that , would they?

Vaccines. How many effective vaccines. against virus, have been made in modern times? The seasonal flu vaccine is a crap shoot at best.
How long have Dr Fauci and others been working on a vaccine for AIDS? Or is that pretend? I think they had rather sell infected persons and other countries very high $ medicines. Do they want to cure cancer? Or would they rather radiate you and make you wish you were dead with chemo?

I think most likely, the only vaccine for this COVID219 virus, will be a Trump defeat in November. And if Trump loses his bid for re-election, what lies ahead for this country will be much worse than this freaking virus.
