šŸ“” Byrne discusses mobile ticketing and concessions at Bryant-Denny Stadium and how the UA staff is working to improve the fan experience each game.

Why mess with a sure thing? Sometimes technology isn't the best idea.

I still have 99% of the tickets from every sporting event I have gone to since I was born. My wife and I framed the tickets from our first football game we attended together. My Notre Dame Natty ticket is framed with some other game memorabilia. I hate it that the Rose Bowl ticket was electronic and that I couldn't frame it for my son. Paying $30-50 for a commemorative ticket is not the point and just a slap in the face. He just turned eight, and he still talks about it even after going to the Miami game. It's the little things for a lot of us.

I know it's not the fans heading the charge on this change as it's staffing and the financial implications behind it, but it would be nice to see the error and take a step back to what has worked for decades.

Yep. We have drawers full of ticket stubs...
First movie together...ball games...concerts...etc
But...
No more...
Electronic ticketing is here to stay......

@BamaFan334 on the concessions end of GB's comment...I found that pretty disingenous. They were running out of water before the pandemic hit; been going on for years now it seems.

Yes, they ran out a couple years back when Texas A&M was in town. Dude, it felt like 120 degrees outside. It was my middle daughter's first game, she was four at the time, and the poor thing had to sit on the ground and hide behind the people sitting in the row in front of us to stay out of the heat. The water guy could never make it up to us without selling out, and when we decided to get up and go get some they said they had ran out.

What I'd like to know is if it was stadium wide, or just one side.

The first time I saw this happen was in Willliams Bryce, '05. As I recall it was only the "north" side of the stadium. No big deal that day...still had mini's and cola left.

Haven't been to a game this season. Was all set to go to Ole Miss and then freaking work killed my plans.
