💬 Bye week plans?

I will be at the beach. Had to cancel the trip back in August to take care of the parents. (Covid).

I really thought I dodged a bullet, but the GF would not let it go that we didn't get to go.......so lucky me. Get to sit out under an umbrella and drink beer and try not to get sunburned. At least it won't be as hot as it was in August. I can't stand the beach, sand and sticky. Grub is about the only thing worth the trip IMO.
Go fishing, flounder bite is picking up.

Well you and I are different in that regard, lol. I LOVE the beach; about as much as I LOVE the wilderness/mountains. I could sit on the beach all damn day, drinking Coronas, taking a swim, and just being a lazy shit.

First question. Which beach?

Second, and this is a thought. You are doing the beach incorrectly. You need to pick a spot that has five or six beach front restaurants/bars. Start at one, then move to two, then to three, back to two, then to four...you're inside, out of the sand and shit, and still enjoying the sights the beach has to offer.

That thought has been peer reviewed. Five stars all around.

Damn. I was talking with a friend about this last night.

Folly Pier, on Folly Beach, when the tide is coming in...slow "troll" on the bottom around the pier with live mullet ... almost like taking candy from a baby if you're patient. The tide should be starting to roll in right now. It's around dinner time tonight so it will be in a couple of three hours this morning.

Yard sale of my late brother's stuff starts officially tomorrow but actually started yesterday. Will finish Saturday at 5 and watch football afterward. Planned on purpose for our Bye week.

You catch flounder with live mullet?

Yep.

My rule.
Donyt get married in fall

Dont have babies in fall

Do t frickin die in fall.

Its never really worked out well that way for me
My six year anniversary is on Sunday. We got married September 21, 2019. We were playing southern miss that day. We all had cell phone propped at the table and I had to balance it out. There was some guys outside at the bar watching other games. I remember seeing ladies being mad at us that day.

Just got 1 more thing added to my Saturday, but it's a good one...

My niece and her husband just signed the papers on their 1st house. They're doing the bulk of the moving tomorrow. And Saturday I'll be picking up the washer and dryer and moving those from the apartment to the new house. I'm so proud of them for making this huge step and will gladly help them in any way I can. Plus I'm getting some biscuits out of the deal, so I'm all good.

And on the weddings during fall point: They got married last year the day BEFORE the Tennessee game. So thankfully, I didn't have to miss the game (although I wish I would have). She knew that having it in October would rustle a few feathers, but she picked a Friday so everyone was happy they could get back home or to the hotel to watch games on Saturday. She was raised right. 😁
