I caught this on ESPN's College Football Live's podcast...

Finally, someone speaks to what I've been trying to point out since this all started. It's a zero-sum game.

Davis was interviewed by the Herald and mention on January 1st of this year there were roughly 1400 kids in the transfer portal. By the middle of last month there were 1700. Now, at the end of January, 2000 are in the portal.

Kids, with a scholarship at their school, decide to transfer in hopes there will be another scholarship out there. However, and this number comes from Davis himself, there are roughly 350 spots available for 2000 kids.

In some cases we'll have a kid that places his name in the portal and decides to remain at the school he's currently playing for...unless these schools decide to not renew their scholarship with is well within their rights.

This is way out of hand already. One would think the NCAA's powers that be would have seen this coming. They didn't need to look any further than basketball.

I've been beating this zero-sum game for a long time....going to be 100's of kids left out of the game at this rate.

Terry......so you're thinking today's academics are going to see things coming? Don't rush into your answer.
