Ok..so it's legal to make contact with a receiver five yards from the line of scrimmage..so what i've always wondered is....how come you don't see any DB's knocking the crap out of receivers and nailing 'em to the ground within that five yards?

LOL sorry, i know that might sound stupid but i've always thought..hell, put some strong DB's out there and just knock their receivers down before they get a chance to get loose.....

With all of his energy focused on leveling the receiver, if the receiver did a little swim move and misdirected the force he'd be gone, uncovered.

Good idea in theory, dangerous chance to take.
